I am Reshma. I am married and together we have two sons aged 17 and 15. My husband was a data operator at a school but in the corona pandemic he was forcefully fired, and we came to Jharsuguda. Here also he searched for a job, but he could not get one. But he is working as a freelancer. People are hiring him for some data entry-related work. Still, this work is not able to support our family in a whole way.
When my husband was out of work, I got a shop. When the previous owner had to leave town, I requested him to give me the business. He gave this to me, and I am running the store now. When I took over, some stock was left behind. Most of the stock was sold and now I have very few left. I don't have enough money to restock my business on my own.
I would like to run this store permanently, with sufficient stock, so that customers keep coming. I would like to start selling gifts and office supplies. I also want to fill the ice cream cart in the store with different flavors of ice cream. In a radius of 2 kilometers there is no other store that sells the same products. The only shop close by is a small grocery store. Because of this I expect to be able to serve many customers.
The income of our family is on average ₹3000 (€39) per month. When my store is well stocked, I expect to earn an average of ₹5300 (€69) per month in the first year, which will significantly increase our income. I expect this to grow further in the years that follow.
The amount of my campaign is structured as follows:
€507 – Stationery items
€325 – Gift items
€130 –Icecream and snacks
€26 – Travel expenses from wholesaler to my shop
€99 – Travel expenses business coach
€198 – Coaching by Purple
€99 – Transfer costs
