I have been running a small home-based shop for 12 years. To start this, I took out a loan of ₹1500 (€18.75) at the time. From the first moment, I tried my best to manage this well. My turnover is about ₹1000 (€12.50 a month). As this is not much, I am not able to expand my range and make it a bigger shop.
I would like to expand my small shop into a mini supermarket. So that customers can come to me for all their daily shopping.
My husband had a barber shop near the main road. It was an established shop. Suddenly this road was reconstructed, and as a result, the shop premises were cleared. After that, we struggled financially. Still, my husband did not lose hope. He opened a temporary shop near the main road because that is where he has his clientele.
We have our own house. I live here with my husband, my son, and my daughter-in-law with their newborn son and my other adult son.
Our family has to live on ₹10,000 (€125) a month. With six people, this is incredibly tight. With my business, I expect to make an average profit of ₹10,500 (€131) per month in the first year, doubling our family income. In the second year, I expect this to increase further to an average of ₹16,800 (€210) per month.
My shop space is big enough to expand. I mainly need additional stock and new products.
The amount of my campaign is structured as follows.
€ 970 - Stock and assortment expansion
€ 125 - Smartphone (Contact with the business coach and for online Purple Business Training)
€ 46 – Promotion: Flyers & banner
€ 2 – Ledgerbook
