We are Tapaswani (52), Sanjuta (45), Hiramani, Aarti (30), Dharitri (30) and Priyanka (24). Together we are the SHG Esthar. From 2016-19 we were engaged in making of Paper bags, locally called “Tunga”. It’s organic and a bio product. But during 2019-21 our business was stopped due to the Corona pandemic. But again, we started working from 2021-22 and then focused on making leaf plates and these kinds of plates were used to make with bare hands. The product was made when we received an order. It’s an order-based business, we don’t have suitable retailers to sell our product because leaf plates only last for 2 to 3 days. Because the orders were not consistent so we don’t have any particular profit or loss account. We are not able to maintain our family with this business activity.
